Chicago Season

Each year, Third Coast Percussion presents 4-5 concerts of percussion music in their hometown of Chicago. In concert halls, theaters and art galleries, the ensemble joins with world-renowned performers for programs that include premieres of new works for percussion alongside modern classic percussion music. Third Coast is the only professional percussion ensemble to present such a season.

The 2010-11 Chicago Concert Season will feature landmark pieces from American composers John Cage, Lou Harrison, David Lang and George Crumb, in addition to the rarely performed tour de force Le Livre des Claviers by French composer Philippe Manoury. Special guest artists Nicholas Photinos and Tim Munro from acclaimed chamber ensemble eighth blackbird will join TCP as featured soloists. New works will be premiered by David T. Little and Anthony Pateras.
