I’m from Geneva, AL.
What is one thing about yourself that you want everyone to know?
I have a Golden Retriever, her name is June.

What are you up to these days?
Going into the Music Industry working, performing, and teaching.
When did you intern with TCP?
January 11th – May 3rd (16 weeks)
How did you connect with TCP?
My Percussion Instructor at Troy University, Dr. Adam Blackstock, told me to reach out.
Did you gain anything from the internship that you’d like to share?
I gained so much from this experience, from packing for multiple tours to watching how the ensemble works with collaborators. And so much more.
What else did you do while you were interning?
Tried so much food, went to a comedy show at the Chicago Theater, and went to a Cubs game.
Did you leave a legacy or mark on the organization that you’re particularly proud of?
I hope so! The ensemble as well as the staff are some of the best people I’ve met.
Favorite memory?
I have a lot but riding with Colin in a box truck trying to find the correct entrance in underground Chicago was awesome.

A funny or embarrassing story from the internship?
When the ensemble was sound checking in Iowa City with Twyla Tharp Dance, there was something buzzing off stage and the crew was trying to fix it and Dave said “I usually just keep putting gaff tape on it until it stops” to something that gaff tape wasn’t fixing, and that stuck with me.
Our interns can experience every part of TCP’s organization, from visiting recording sessions to writing grants and everything in between. We accept interns almost year-round.
