Currents at Constellation CHICAGO CONCERT SEASON

TCP presents its annual Currents concert, featuring world premieres by the 2021-22 Currents Creative Partners: Kite, and Machado Mijiga.

Each year, Third Coast Percussion presents 4-5 concerts of percussion music in their hometown of Chicago. In concert halls, theaters, and art galleries, the ensemble joins with world-renowned performers for programs that include premieres of new works for percussion alongside modern classic percussion music.

TCP’s annual Currents concert will feature world premieres by 2021-22 Currents Creative Partners Kite and Machado Mijiga as well as works by Alexis C. Lamb, Ayanna Woods, and more. The concert will also feature vocalist and composer Santee Witt.

Please note: Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to enter Constellation. Please bring your vaccination card or a photo of it, and a photo ID, to the concert.
